Better one (being Scottish): If Scotland actually attended a football tournament obviously i would support them (until we got dumped out at the first opportunity). However if Ireland won the trophy and i was there, i would happily cheer for them (if they deserved it). Obviously completely differing if England won it (again goes back to direct rivals).
In DOTA i would hope the above wouldn't be as dominant since most teams are made up from differing nationalities (with the obvious exceptions e.g. LGD, VP etc.). It was sad to see (or rather not see) the "riki crowd" since previous TIs i didnt notice as many empty seats or lack of volume.
I'd also like to point out the "national" dish of UK depends what country in the UK: England = fish and chips / roast dinners; Scotland = Haggis, neeps and tatties... or pretty much anything deepfried. Not sure where you got "curry" from (or the badly imitated version of curry like your Tikka Masalas).

I made the football comparison before though and I dont think Dota can be compared. People might have a preference as to what team they want to win but most people cheer for 3 or 4 teams that they might like. I wanted OG to win from the start of the tournament but I was also following Infamous, Secret and TNC Predator and I got hyped whenever a team made a strong play. At the end of the day esports is about cheering for hype plays more than it is about loyalty to one team. Sure its logical for the Chinese to cheer for LGD or Newbee but its plain unsportsmanship not to care at all for the other teams just because they dont represent your nationality.
I believe now, that our fellow Chinese Dota Players is not racist, maybe not at all, because if we rethink their position as their Government's asset, then holding their hype towards their Favorite team indeed kinda feels sad...

Also OP have you visited other countries yet? Xenophobism is so common in most countries..

The problem was that OG pretty much played flawless in the final except game one which made the games extremly onesided = boring final.
Could easily been a straight 3-0 win.
