Hahahahhaha yeah my friend ragequited yesterday because of that, he was close to a next star so he played few ranked games, got +21 for first win and then -30 for loss, he played one more, stomped and got +15, so he ragequited and almost uninstalled, i dont know if dota 2 is made to frustrate you on purpose? 
It is the same old average mmr difference thing. If your team is way higher than the opposition, you get +5 and if you lose, you get -50.
I don't know exactly how the "challenge token" matches work, but you may see these effects if you end up being the "tough opponent" in a match like this. When the enemy mmr is clearly lower than yours. This might be the reason for the new influx of games like these in the higher tier games.
I remember that this same problem was in dumpster tier too... As there are so few people playing around these ranks... So you get a really tilted matches especially if you are playing outside of your regions peak hours.
Dont play ranked roles on low MMR, different dota is played there its not worth the queue time.
It’s the stupid token thing. You use it and fight higher skill games and if you win then you win more MMR. Worst is We didn’t even choose to play it, and we keeps getting match with these players, winning only gives us 5 MMR, lose will cost 45 MMR. We keeps getting matched with smurf accounts and already lost 90mmr in 2 games. Dota 2 is crap now.
Yeah dota 2 is crap now, make me tired to winning in mmr cause is usless. If i lose i will get -50 = 10 win

I'm already win around 10x game in a row, and always got +5 MMR in my stats. And lose 2 games after that i got -50?
Anyone can explain that?
