Is support still a thing? in General Discussion

Every non turbo game I've played, my team has picked two safelane cores, and two supports, and just ran two safelanes and a mid. This is by far the most retarded thing I've ever seen following a huge update. Supporting is still a thing, it just takes a little more skill to ward and deward efficiently (instead of constantly warding+dewarding the same 4 spots ALL GAME). I do, however, think that it is easier for support players to get distracted by some random-ass talent that will help the team 0, but yourself quite a bit. You'll see Lion rush Midas now instead of a blink - causing him to miss out on so much offensively, but he doesn't care! Cuz he will get to level 2... oh wait, the game ended before he hit lvl 25 because he couldn't help you catch the carries out. :(

Supports are key behind winning most games.

AM is a good core, but if your team leaves the AM 1v1 against an Axe because supports are busy being useless somewhere else and have no idea how to zone out offlanes, the AM will be useless.

Viper eats Necro alive mid. But if the Necro has a SB charging the Viper at level 3, the Viper will fall behind.

Underlord offlane is one of the gayest things in Dota. But a simple Rubick sitting in the trees with a Juggernaut farming can ensure the Jugg's farm and keep the Underlord from decimating the hc.

The reason people don't talk about support is because most people don't understand the game (majority of players are below 3k).

It's not the AM, or Necro, or Invoker, or Storm that wins games. It's the warlock, the shadow shaman, the SB that wins it.

Oh and just throwing it out there, roaming MK is stupid af and loses games. Don't do that shit.
