So after 3 solid years with my Razor naga, It has finally hung up its shoes and retired.

What mice are people using nowadays, I really like the extra buttons for my thumb and got used to hotkeying them for itemslots etc.

i have a Steelseries mousepad that is the size of my desk and can track reliably 20,000 dpi, atleast thats what the box says.

    My current thought process.

No.1 Razor Hex v2, While it isn't making the hotlist for 2017, the 7 buttons look convienant as on my naga i usually used 1-9 and didn't touch the ones at the back.

no. 2 Steel Series Rival 700, Every review i read says this is god tier, however it doesn't seem to have the same optimisation.

no. 3 G502 or G900, depending on what feels better. DPI wise, nothing competes however i'm not sure if i'd like the Grip.

I doubt SS/Razer mouses are worth their price

        rival

        ;)

          logitech g502

know what you actually want first?

like for example for me i prefer a mouse with 4000 dpi and 2 side buttons. so i look for reviews of mice with those in mind, then buy what i like.

or just buy the mouse with the biggest price tag + good reviews and you are set. or just buy another razer naga lol

            Clippy

I just got the Razer Lancehead. its really nice, compact but still fits your hand. It's also ambidextrous so no need to worry about being a lefty or a righty. It has switches underneath so I guess you could technically call it a mechanical mouse. the switches allow you to click many times comfortably and reliably. Not to mention that it looks sexy as hell.

Late reply, but i ended up picking up a hex, it feels abit clunky but i'm sure i'll get used to it. if not i'll exchange it for a rival 700.

I like having the extra peripheral buttons on the side as i find them helpful for things like 'push to talk' and playing heros with alot of actives.
i have 2 weeks to trial/swap it if i dislike it, and 2 years warrenty, so i shall see how it goes.
                Thanks for the input fam

had a g502 for 2 years now (i think) and its easily the best one ive had so far. grips fine too

I can't bother to re-learn the hotkeys so I use same mice. Except you are willing to re-learn muscle memory, I suggest you to stick naga

I went from a naga to Corsair Gaming SCIMITAR RGB MOBA/MMO Gaming Mouse.
Same thing just a tad cheaper.

Razer and steel series have a completely different feel. They are drastically different in shape, steel series is smaller and symmetrical, razer is larger and not symmetrical. What you need to do is go to best buy or equivalent store and try a bunch of mice on display to see what fits your hand. Then go buy the model you want online. I personally love steel series, the feel in my hand is just right. Razer was too big, felt like I was dragging the mouse around.

logitech. For around $30 from bestbuy you get a solid mouse.

Razer mice look cool. But their wireless models are too expensive compared to what you could get from logitech.

                          Piano

just go to the store and test all the mouse that you has listed by yourself. from there you get to know which mouse is comfortable for you.

im using the g502, its great.

i literally use this mouse to play dota 2 (stole it from my last workplace)

is this bad for dota because it has no hotkey options or what?

                              Väinämöinen

btw i have 1.3k compendium and play with stolen 12 $ mouse

                                Shou

I get one with 2 side buttons IDGAF abt the rest cuz idek anything abt specs for any of my computer or mouse shit tbh
I was just never introduced to this shit so I have no idea what any of it means
I don't notice anything different in the specs like dpi or fps so I don't bother

                                  Grimm

Steelseries rival are pretty fine and there're plenty of choices inside depending on how many macros you need

I personally like my Logitech Daedalus g302 (not too many buttons) + a Razor Goliath Mouse Mat (surprising how much difference a mouse mat can make!*)

                                      * WARNING: no substantial added MMR due to mouse-mat but more (user) comfort and mouse speed.

Depends on what you want, for most people its either razer deathadder or logitech g402/502. If you want a lot of buttons probably g502 is the best, it also has the best 1:1 accelaration in the market but is heavier than most mouses. If you are not after many buttons then deathadder is also very good with a close 1:1 accelaration

I wonder why normall skill scrubs buy Scimitar mmo mouse with 1000000 hotkeys when they dont remeber to use active items in teamfights ????

Good mouse has to be comfortable in the first place. I recommend A4Tech XL-747 with spider graphics. Very comfortable mouse if u have long fingers like I do.

Shit's too bothersome and I'm fine with having everything on my keyboard lol

The mouse is good but not worth it's price especially if you can't deal with mouse accelaration
