200 MMR is a lot though as you go higher
it doesn't matter how much MMR he got from help etc. He didn't achieve it on his own. Not only that but just because he has 10k mmr doesn't mean he's the best player. Which is proven tons of times in competitive dota.
Idk man ive been watching midones stream for ages now and he kept saying he will be the first to gain 10k mmr...u should have seen how hard he worked for that shit...but this abed kiddo just gets boosted by dc ...im not saying abed doesnt deserve 10k or is a bad player ofc hes a good player... im saying he didnt deserve to be the FIRST 10 k mmr player cuz midone totally deserved it

i wouldn't think so. paparazzi got to 9.7k and fell down to 9.2k, so being 9.7 doesnt guarantee u are gonna be 10ˇk the next day, but with the help of his teammates it was pretty much guaranteed. also he had less mmr than miracle (9.6 if i remember correctly) at that time when dc began to boost him
^in case you weren't aware, paparazzi got stopped by MMR assassins when he got to 9.8k.. he won literally every game be played and had pages and pages of wins no matter how his teammates played.. you might not consider this, but changing servers and travelling to a different location can have a huge impact on results..
It was the way that Abed got boosted that was distasteful - he was in the same room as the rest of DC (they were boot camping) not only were they searching at the same time but they could see each others fog of war etc.
basically, they just made a mockery of 10k mmr which, to be honest, could've been a big thing for someone (including Abed)
now it won't be remembered as a 'skill' achievement. i'd be properly fucked off with my mates if i were abed.
i think they just got carried away in the moment - they started bodyguarding him from the assassins and then the power of the meme took over...

If Abed could hit 10.3K or something, I think that will cancel out the boost, seems fair
First of all, I'm not an Abed fangay or whatever. Yes, he didn't attain a true 10k on his own. It's just really annoying when the memes make him sound like a bad player. I don't think 200 mmr is a alot tbh. I could hardly give a fuck between a 9.4k player and a 9.2k player and I'm sure a lot of people would feel the same.
A 200 mmr range is a matter of LUCK. Anyone can fluctuate up OR down 200 mmr. Haven't you ever played a ranked game and ended up with the top mmr player being 200 above you and he acts as if everyone else is trash? And all you can think is "lmao its 200 mmr pls stfu"
It's just the bandwagon effect that started that eventually turned into an overpowering meme. I think it was really dumb of Abed not to foresee this though, because it's clear given our community's love for drama that he'd never get the credit for 10k this way. Now he's lost that AND his past achievements are being downplayed.

I'm not really a fan of Midone or Abed but either way congratulations to them for achieving 10k solo. However, I see LOTS of people saying Abed got boosted to 10k unlike Midone.
Just how many matches did Abed got boosted? i think 1-2 match is acceptable but i'm just curious to know.
