Preferably versatile and high impact heroes like support Rubick or carry Drow. They yield an insane level of impact and boost the gameplay of the team.
Your KDA doesn't really matter also. It's not about the one who kills, but about the one, who loses the ancient remember.
With Rubick babysit your carry and run around with a brown boot, casting your destructive spells and unleashing your inner wrath upon your foes.

Then you're stuck being better at a hero that isn't relevant anymore. Then you dive in rank again and get tilted, then play worse than you're actually able to.
Playing many heroes makes you gain slower, but it ensures you get better at the game "evenly".

look at my account, the top heros are the ones i spam and i rarely loose any matches in normal ranked.
but i have a 35% winrate in ranked MM because i try to play other heros in int ranked, then i just loose most matches.

a good portion of the skills in dota is transferable, and those are the most relevant for actually being good at the game rather than specific hero mechanics. if you want to sharpen those skills then its best you focus on a small pool of heroes so you dont have to waste mental resources trying to relearn new hero mechanics
