If you're running Windows it's probably the shitty 100% disk usage bug

idk i notice menu and hero select/loading lag as well sometimes (but not the game).

It's a common windows thing where a program will use up 100% of your disk usage for no reason because microsoft is stuck in a loop or something
I'm not absolutely certain on how it works but I know it's a common windows problem they've still never fixed
your cpu is god awful dogshit. you can buy a 2400 i5 mobo+cpu for like $50 that would literally give you 2x the fps in-game and probably fix you menu lag.

^this mobo has no spot for the 470 but if you look around you could find something that does maybe even cheaper.
How can you buy such a dogshit platform in 2017 is way beyond me...
i dont know anything about computers. i put it all together myself. never done any hardware before, wanted to learn. i didnt know the cpu was such a big deal obviously

So, regardless of my setting, whether they are very low or on max, my client opens very slowly. It takes considerable more time to load the client than my shitty stock PC I bought in 2006. The main menu takes a bit long to load, and it lags. All of the tabs lag, such as heroes, watch, arcade. When I get a game, the hero select phase lags, it takes a minute or two to stabilize so I can never be the first pick, basically. Then when the game is starting and it loads, i'm the last one to get in game.
However, when i'm actually playing I hover around 60FPS and I don't lag at all. I figured I would get a higher FPS with this PC, but I don't. I keep the Render Quality at max. For video setting I have World Lighting, Specular, and Specular and Light Blooms enabled. That's it. With these setting I don't lag in game at all.
So why is my main menu and such so fucking slow and miserable ??
Any help would be appreciated, i've been trying to find the answer for weeks and no one seem to has any answers. Thank you.
