treads are good too
his build is situational. sometimes blademail after mek is optimal. sometimes you want lv1 dagon at some point, or blink. some games you absolutely need force staff
Hurricane pike is kind of useless. I was never a fan of treads on Necro, even before guardian greaves existed, I always just had brown boots or arcanes to disassemble later. Aghs is still really good, even without the bonus damage, cooldown goes down to 25 seconds. Pipe is good too depending on the enemy lineup. Atos could be good too depending on the situation.
^actually, hurricane pike is kinda good because it tanks you up a bit, gives you additional utility and more importantly LOWERS THE COOLDOWN on force staff, and since necro likes prolonged fights, this lets you use it more than once which is super nice
but you don't rush it by any means, you just get it when you need your force staff but are out of options to upgrade stuff, or when it's exactly the item you need
I say blademail cuz when u activate ghose shroud u can use blademail too to dissuade people from bursting u. Hood also works there.
And of course the order and exact items r variable depending on game i thought we cud figure that much, i did forget pipe tho.
What lane wud u put necrophos in? Tbh that has always been my biggest question and ive ran him as safelaner, mid, and offlaner before. And ive never lost so it hasnt rlly solved my problem.
Badman always go with treads > blink > agh > situational build and doing fairly well with it having 61% winrate patch 7.00

safelane or midlane
He can go at any lane like timbersaw
Guess your lane depends on your team and enemies' composition after all
Offlane necro wins in ns but i can easily see higher skill players punishing it. In my skill level kill potential is something most people cant judge well, so u end up sitting in lane while they slowly run out of regen and u dont do a thing.
Old Necro was terrible as an offlane because the enemy could just wrap around and kill you since all you could do was pop a death pulse, or at most 2 while slowly running away. Old necro had no survivability or escape in the early laning stages, even his movement speed and hp were terrible.
The new Necro however seems like an excellent offlane with ghost shroud, it's a better ghost scepter that slows and increases healing and mana regen.
I really think arcanes is the way to go with Necro now, and not just because of ghost shroud's mana cost. The passive component of death pulse surprisingly heals more hp than the old sadist, but the mana boost is severely nerfed from 72 mana per kill to 49.
Slark for sure is the best for learning
Gotta start with the most tiring one eyy
Don't bother switching to str when using dark pact, if you're fighting, you should be switching to agi right after int to right click the enemy. If you're escaping, then you'll just heal up instantly from your passive.
Lotus orb is a nice situational pickup on Necro. The purge can be very game-changing along with the durability that the armor provides.
You'll just heal back all the damage you lost from not tread switching in like 1 second.
alright i think the item build is wind lace->wand->treads->blink->ags.
personally i like blademail on this hero as well, its gives 32 dmg to autos, but i dont know if its worth delaying blink.
this hero is so much more fun to play now honestly
Dagon is better than it used to be. Basically with dagon oc and agh you can secure a reapers scythe kill every 17 seconds.
But the thing is, you can't instantly kill AM without having extra lockdown, unless you're trying to gank him properly (which rarely happens lul) maybe hex before SE?
@Daddy Shadow fiend is the best hero to learn tread switching since its so crucial on him
int for razes, agi for right-click, str wen eating nukes

Ideas?
Ive been thinking arcanes > mek > forcestaff/blink > greaves > hurricane pike > bkb/octarine/linkens/shivas/lotus/blademail
