omni low pick rate was not because he is boring. he just didnt fit into every single game. when he did, his pick rate was actuall becoming cancerous so valve had to nerf his ass.
Pudge has always been sitting at 1 for most picked of all time. Seriously, seeing a pudge is no surprise.
Even in that one patch where he was a shit pick.

Many things have dramatically changed in 7.00. But Omniknight is still the highest winrate hero in every MMR bracket he has almost always been. Free magic immunity is the absolute best skill in pub games with weak teamwork.
And apparently Omni is still considered boring to play with a very low pick rate.
Slark is doing dramatically better with all the juke paths, his winrate only up slightly but we see him every 3rd game now at very high mmr. Pudge loves the extra trees even more and is now at 42% pickrate?! Pudge in every other game.
But the real OP heroes seem to be Visage and Lycan. Both jumped from losing heroes to winning heroes >7% and >8% winrate gains instantly.
