Sometimes I"ll play 4-5 games with no progress and then all of a sudden, i log in and I see 3 or 4 different item badge icons flash and I went from LV 13 to Lv 17 like that.
Also your trophy progress is determined by the length/quality of your games so if you win a lot of 20-minute rofl stomps or keep playing after people abandon and the game doesn't count for stats, you're wasting your time. if your buddy plays a lot of long game (luna, sven, techies, afk farming, etc) then his games will go longer and he'll earn more points per game.
It's leveling up... It's just waiting for the tier trophy to level up, until then you'll earn patch levels all at the same time.
If you wonder what is the tier trophy is, just go click your profile click trophy, then move your mouse over the trophy you'll see how much level you need to earn a tier level.. it starts with level 1 for tier 1, level 5 for tier 2, level 25 for tier 3, and level 50 for tier 4, etc. If you reach tje tier 4, you'll earn your badge level (trophy level) up to level 20 to 21 which means you are able to play ranked match making.

well guys, i hope you can help me with my problem regarding with this account, after i have been in trophy level 45 with 1450 exp. and level 15 dota2 account, i am not recieving any exp anymore and i already have 136 matches as you can see. i compared my account to my friend and he has only 116 matches but he is already trophy level 47 with 1470 exp. this problem happened after i recieved a account alert for fraudulent activity and i don't know why. i hope you can share you're idea regarding to my problem bcos i am so frustrated already. thanks!
