Mostly of you are assuming 1x1 battle, something that a wise sven would only take if he have the odds or sure, same goes around, if you have picked slark, pa, morph or troll will only fight him if you got the odds or are pretty sure. No hero can solo an sven that had a good lanning phase. As utility i would pick, necrophos, nyx or Arc and as carry could be troll, slark or weaver.

Silencer with a caveat. Silencer can melt targets with high armor with his pure dmg. The problem is silencer will also get 1 shot by a farmed sven. You need frontliners but then silencer can bring the dmg.

Ursa I am unsure if God vs Sven theoretically should be decent but I can't play ursa good either so won't comment too much on it either . A lot of people saying spectre but I don't think she's that good vs Sven since Sven deals so much damage that even a spectre life gonna melt pretty fast vs a farmed up Sven . Spectre can ult and kill all of svens back line though then if you have some teammates with cc you can kill the Sven with most of his teammates gone but I wouldn't say spec is good vs Sven becuase of this . Honestly as far as carries go I'd say best counters are medusa and troll .slark is 2nd trier decent vs Sven but viable in most lineups so most of the time I'd just pick slark vs Sven .

Yes MKB counters all blinds including Tinker's laser blind. Blind just makes you miss a percentage of your attacks (Tinker's Laser has this percent at 100% but other blinds like Brood's Incapacitating bite have lower percentages)
MKB makes it so that your attacks can't miss and so counters the blind.
But seriously, Bristle with similar farm (blademail) can't manfight bkb ulti Sven? I think he can but I'm not experienced, just seems pretty obvious to me as he could fight pretty much anyone I suppose.

OD - Pure damage Q , Magic damage ult, Astral imprisonment can save u / allies in fights.
Timbersaw - Forces sven to get bkb instead of more dmg items, timber has reactive armor which gives him like 20-30 armor, timber also has burst damage which isn't physical, so it goes thru War cry armor bonus.
Omniknight - Protects 1 person from sven's stun, heal is useful, and ult makes sven useless, with Aghs even BETTER.
Axe - Get blink / blade mail and sven will have a hard time dealing with u , it'l be hard for him to focus on killing people when a tanky axe is in his face hitting him with pure damage and a blade mail on, just to create space for ur team in fights,
Enigma - Enigma's E now does PURE DAMAGE based on % of HP, and since sven has LOTS OF HP, it does a lot of damage, also ur Ult can reliably disable sven :)
Life stealer - Just a good carry right now who can put up a good fight VS sven, esp cuz of Rage and his life steal which deals %HP Damage
Wraith King - Anyone who says wk is bad vs sven is retarded. Sven farms faster but WK needs less items to be affective. And even if Sven kills WK, WK comes ba ck AFTER slowing sven down, which kites him, and he comes back alive with stun , more kiting, and still has tons of damage, if WK gets aeigis, Sven is gonna kill him 3 times?
Morphling - this hero is ok at dealing with s ven but not really, IF you build e blade sven will just get BKB, and if u build right click, morph needs a lot of items to do a lot of damage with his right clicks, this gives sven time to farm.. and a farmed sven is scary.. Morph is OK but not reliable.
Ursa - With a fast blink / bkb, you should be able to get ahead of sven, just make sure u block his ancients so he doesnt get a fast HOTD / Blink / Echo sabre.
Troll - he is ok but not very reliable.. troll is single target and relies on bashes, Sven has a an AOE stun and does AOE cleave..
Let's not forget...
-DOOM.... Yeah sven is strong even with no spells but if u can doom him before he ults, ur team can fight with no fear :)
just make sure u build shivas.
-Phenoix is good, forces sven to focus the egg, and deals % HP based damage with sunray, and slows him , and slows his attack speed,
-Lich is not the worse hero vs sven, build like a force staff to have as utility i'd say, u have good team fight spells, ur Q and R both kite sven by slowing his movement and attack speed ( i believe attk speed too ), and it's a good amount of dmg to respond to sven's potentially high damage. Also you can give ur teammates , and towers, extra armor with frost armor.
- OGRE MAGI.. yep..... this guy in solo offlane can Fuck up a sven's day. If you don't have 2 supports in his lane with sven ( a tri lane ) an ogre magi should always win that lane .. Spam ur spells on sven, u start with like 8 armor so his attacks do nothing, just watch out for the support harrassing u, trade hits, try to annoy him , if the support goes to gank, or he goes to re gen, u can bully sven, and make him tilt, Ogre can kite sven with his stun, and his slow,

Talking about combos, if you are playing with friend you can pick legion comander and arc warden, and do kinetic field duel right in bkb.
If he gets MKB try to build more in stats and get blade mail. And i heard that beastmaster in team is always good.
Strong disable through bkb (void, beastmaster) + enchantress, ench kills sven very fast, ignoring his armor.
One of the best is medusa - if sven jumps with gds and bkb, press ult and he is forced to run back, loosing his bkb time.
Troll warlord kills 1 vs 1 any other carry, including sven.
Drow ranger with good position-changing support (venge, wisp) is good counter to sven.
Juggernaut is really bad vs sven, you can kill sven only after his bkb ends, dispelling his warcry with diffusial blade. Higher armor from agility, attack speed, lower base attack time and free crits give you advantage. So dont try fighting with sven as juggernaut, somehow go on his backline and run around till his bkb ends.
Best supports vs sven are:
Shadow demon (purge throug bkb, dispelling warcry and gds), bane (long cc thorugh bkb), dazzle (makes pretty dumb armor disbalance between teams and has grave, not allowing sven to burst down your carry) and vengeful spirit (swap sven and hope it will help).
you kite sven. dont try to manfight him. you pick carries that can hit him run away, hit him while he chases them. pretty much no one can straight up manfight a sven. that's not what you're trying to do. tb is good. if you can get farmed enough on morph to have a skadi and some other items in a reasonable amount of time you can use him. i used to play a lot of naga when sven was picked even more than he is now but i've always played a lot of naga. her ensnare pierces bkb and you have radiance, so you're team can hit him when he's stuck there without getting close to him.
Nobody here talks about the hardest counter to Sven and that is Ursa! Sven cant man fight Ursa and during his ulti, u also have ulti which is 80% damage reduction. Regarding play style, u need to force more fights and be active on the map, bcs if u afk free farm to much u cant out farm Sven who has cleave... As for supports, i think Shadow Demon, Bane and Lich are nice. I kinda also win when i play Tinker mid vs Sven in enemy safe lane.
Can Dark Seer be a good counter against Sven early game? Cause he goes offlane, spams ion shell on enemy support forcing sven out of lane and then the offlaner carry can take him down quite easily (eg spirit breaker)
the best counter (not only carry) is to kite sven. A farmed NP or a simple viper could kite sven around. most importantly, team play matters to counter sven. any 1v1 against sven (other than kiters) will probably lose if both are equally farmed.
