I literally just started learning Doom for the first time too.... Welp* That just made him less fun, but he's still probably a solid character.
Gonna change my predictions, i felt that lion nerf today, i was having mana problems in early game even with the suck, it never felt that i had enough mana.
But the doom one, gonna remove him from my most banned prediction.
a bit more nerf on doom and beast and they'll finnaly be fine.

Leave BH alone, they legit just need to buff sentries to being single bought so supports can afford it in the early game(possibility remove tangos being able to kill them)

armlet not that bad his strengh is on toggle, almost no one keeps the armlet on all the time, and if you do you have the lifesteal to keep that up.

When a hero like doom have such an ultimate, he is supposed to have a skill set so bad with it that the hero is useless beside his ult.
Right now doom is still great without his ult, thus he is overpowered.
When you can "remove" one heroes from opponent team, and especially choose which one, you have already such an edge to opponent, cause even if the hero doing so is totally useless, you are actually choosing the position in BOTH team of the useless hero.
uh well, ok doom is a great ultimate but since they removed lvl death he has no way to remove linkens on his own. Have you ever tried to get you pub team to pop linkens for you so you can doom the best target? It's ridiculously hard. I think doom ability is pretty fine as is, the issue is when the game goes super late and he gets aghs and refresher and then disables 40% of your team. You can't win anything like that. Maybe instead of nerfing the ability so much just change his aghs to something else so it's not as bad. Like make it give devour two charges so he can devour two at the same time and have two abilities. Or make scorched earth and infernal blade pure dmg.

I know Doom is really strong, but hes gotten so many nerfs its getting ridiculous. He got one Large buff in 6.85 and he's been nerfed 8 times since then. (although getting Infernal Blade can be considered something of a buff). I don't want him to get nerfed into uselessness because he keeps getting picked :(

Sunray nerf is not that important. Its more of a nerf to the Laser Support Phoenix then to offlane core Phoenix which is fine with me. A cooldown nerf is probably the smallest nerf they could have done since his ult refreshes all his cooldowns anyway. To be fair, Sunray is a really strong ability that shouldn't be on a shorter cooldown than all his other spells :P
doom isn't picked much except in 5k+ anyway, hence matrice's bitching. Go look at meta tab, pick rate 4-5k is 12%, not super high, about average, and he's way below average below that. Barely 50% in 4-5k, sub 50 below that. It's only a 25% pick rate, 52% win rate 5k+ but it's not even close to where spec and invoker have been recently.
Actually doom can cancel linkens on his own... Devour the mini satyr neutral creep... u get purge ability... that helps in canceling linkens yourself.
