tread switching + aquila is pretty much enough to sustain his mana. Not to mention that you'll be getting an ultimate orb for skadi or silver edge quite early anyway.
It was enough unless you were fighting a lot . Needed skadi to solve all his mana issues. Silver edge plus echo is prob enough mana now tho .
^Pretty sure u can't. Aquila was enough for me and now u can go silver edge cuz it gives stats, so ur mana pool is higher.
Am I the only one who really likes using Orchid on him? I know it is situational, but the option to upgrade it makes it such an awesome item, even late game. Orchid also solves ANY type of mana issues early game, and is a better option than Echo Sabre.

Elduryb, orchid without blink/shadow blade is meh, and by the time that you would be buying it it's lost a lot of effectiveness. Slark doesnt have a long range jump like a QOP or Storm, but orchid can be ok if you get it fast enough and yes bloodthorn is dank af late game.
i was usually ok just with aquila and tread switching when it came to jungling
and when you have a long fight and burn a lot of mana then even echo sabre would hardly help you
Yasha is also good early game in combination with the Wind Lance. I'd go Yasha into S&Y over Blink. And Yasha, Orchid, then completing the S&Y is reasonable.
Ring of Aquila and Tread switching was enough, it's just that echosaber kind of spoils you now, so when you go back to the old ring of aquila build, you start to wonder " how the fuck did did I used to mana manage so well with this shitty mana regen. " Both builds are good honestly, but if you're really having that much trouble mana managing, just get a wand too for the stats + replenish effect.
Just tread switching is enough for farming, not to mention supports usually pick up mana boots.
does raindrop get triggered by pact self-damage? if not then wind lace and drop are some super cheap super effective pickups
raindrop doesn't trigger off dark pact, it only triggers off instances of 50 damage or higher.

Yasha, Orchid. Barely 1k hp Slark (who also takes 150 magic dmg from using dark pact). How are you even gonna initiate on heros with these items.
That's over 6k gold you could've spent so much more efficiently. When you think about builds, try to compare it to other items of same value..
Yeah, these where my solutions pre-patch, but then again, I am a normal skill scrub. I do, of course, get other early game items before a Yasha. Probably completed Treads, RoA, Wand, maybe something else, like a PMS or Bracer.
In this patch, I've played 2 games with Slark. The one with Echo Sabre went better.

^skill bracket differences played a factor too, not just your item choices.

or do you even get sny
some people were telling me that yasha is complete dogshit on slark but idk, i like the haste speed in dark pact a lot

What did you do to solve slark's mana issues before echo sabre was implemented? It doesn't seem like tread switching + ring of aquila/basillus could do much to help sustain his mana usage early-mid game.
