It's just sad. I literally never see him in my games for at least a year. If there's trash tier heroes, he is 7 level below it.
Rework or replace shadow poison completely, its way too catastrophically bad. You're never going to get enough stacks on anything for it to work, and it has to be maxed to be good. If you max it though, you will be useless after 15 minutes.
he needs a beastmaster nerf, and a ww nerf, so the main counter to hardmele (like naix and sven) is only sd xD
(and well, both beast and ww are a lil'l bit too strong (especially beast))
His skill set is actually pretty good, I think the issue is laning. His nuke pushes the wave and his disable isn't really a disable. Dmg amp is good, but you really need to max everything else out first. If soul catcher wasn't random but targeted an enemy and applied a small slow like 10/11/12/13% it'd be really good and I think he'd be a lot better in lane. And then in team fights he could help you focus someone important.
Not sure about you guys, but I tend to dominate with SD at 4.7k. I only have 11 games, but 81.5% win rate. His Aghs is insane, and disruption is a phenomenal setup. As far as minibuffs to make him really viable in pro matches?.. His Shadow Poison used to give vision of the hero while they were affected.. that'd be pretty big. Making the cast point on Shadow Poison Release 0.0 would be nice too. A little int or str gain would take him far as well.
He's a pretty strong hero, I just think he lacks in really big teamfights. If disruption gave more damage to the illusions I think he'd be top tier. Truthfully, I think he is top tier.. just not meta.
Just go pick another support hero and buy eul instead picking SD lol. literally replaced by euls
You people simply have no idea how to play the hero. It's not a solo support, it needs good teamwork with another support or cores.
^wrong, there is no such thing as duo support in dota. its either solo support, or junglers.
Right but that doesn't happen in pubs which is why I said issue is laning. Good luck winning lane with just sd as your lone support. Unless he's setting up for other supports he does poorly in lane.
