Im an avg player. Always maintained slightly above 50% win rate... I was in New Zealand for awhile, I had 89 games with 35.96% win rate there. You don't understand how hard it is to play with people in a different region because the "meta" is different. When to push/farm, how aggressive/passive do you want to play, how much do you roam, when do you rosh, when to smoke. It is not the same on different regions.
Also, ping problem perhaps? If you're accostumed to play on 10-20 ping at SEA and it is 80 at EU, it is noticable. Not much, but still....

say what you want about NA/SEA being shit or w/e, but if 6k=5k for a different region, people would be queing on ez servers a LOT even if they had an extra 100 ping.
5k EU = ~5k everywhere else, logically MMR should distribute itself equally to equal skilled players across the world, the variations shouldn't be more than a couple hundred MMR, or whatever difference an extra 50-100 ping makes.
