just press 2nd skill to enemy and instantly press skill 1 literally after you press skill 2nd. kinda easy if you kinda try to do it for awhile just keep try doing it.
note : suck at ember , but playing ember repeatly make me can do that easily in reflex
use quickcast and you shouldn't be chaining too late
know the range of sleight (different at each level) so that you don't target out of range, and you won't miss by chaining too early
Since target order is random, you need to be aware of how many units are in the area that you are fisting, and if there are a lot of them, rely on luck a bit (Since i doubt you can track ember while he is slighting if you can't do combo properly, which is easy.). If there is one unit that's easy and hard because: There are no other units that are randomly taking slight of fist in unpredictable order, but there is only one unit so slight lasts for just a fraction of a second, which means you have less time to do chains. Also you need to know what's cast range of the second spell. The cast range doesn't increase per level, but aoe does, which you can not look as it's same thing, because: If you click the point that is further away than the cast range is, your ember will move till he is in cast range and you will end up casting chains before slight happens. Sure that you can click the point that is closer to you (since aoe is bigger) but if you have issues doing that you obviously don't have feeling for cast range of the spell and range in general. I don't know how shift is working in dota 2, i'm kinda newbie here, but some more experienced players can maybe reply with some info on that? Can u shift-queue chains before you slight?
Jesus fucking Christ, if you fuckers can't give meaningful answer, don't talk at all.
OP, use 2nd spell and then immediately use first spell. You must do this while you are in cast range of Sleight of Fist. It's impossible to do this on a single target if you cast SoF outside of range.
OP, enable your range indicator. Also, make sure youre on normal cast. Press W, hover over your target, and if the indicator turns green, left mouse click + Q. easy as that. Just make sure youre in range when using W before you click+Q
any tips on playing ember? i dont know what i did wrong but it seems playing ember lose me 5 games out of 6
i still miss my chains too
and is it okay for ember to push all the time when not clashing? my carry never complains but he is underfarmed at mid game
1 hour bottle
just gotta split with remnant and tp into fights you think you'll win
MY EMBER WINRATE IS SHIT TOO DON'T WORRY
@Faye
1. Don't buy cheesy crap like double daedalus/double battlefury even if you have 2 rapiers. Something like a linken's, a skadi, mkb or a manta is much more valuable.
2. Try buying blink dagger, its godlike on ember.
Other than that, it mostly comes down to execution and given the amount of deaths, that's likely a problem as well. Just practice and buy proper items. Also, don't just rush battlefury, go for pms, wand, aquila, bots and after that try to get the bf. With that build, having it at 20 minutes is good, anything earlier is very good. Go for blink afterwards and then if you can, get daedalus. If they have anything with hex, huge single target spell (doom, reaper's scythe, duel) or long silences then you have to skip it and go for linken's or manta. As for split pushing with bots/remnant, yes do it, it makes a lot of space for your safelane/mid to farm jungle and ancients. Missing your chains is kind of unacceptable though because it's incredibly important for your succes with the hero.
bottle is good for regen even when losing
usually i rush bots then i get stuff like aquila and drum, then farm for bf but ill try dagger next time, i will get better with chain in time since this is still my 5th or 6th game with ember lmao.
i dont play ember mid btw, is that acceptable?
second -> first
how hard is that? just practice in the lobby if you can't get the timing right, after 20 tries you're gucci
if you don't have vision on the hero you use chains a little later than you would on a visible target since you can't chain units you can't see and sof gives vision with a small delay
@Faye Ember is good both mid and safelane, it doesn't really matter. Though I do prefer going mid if possible (when you aren't against OD or Invoker). As for rushing bots, that's fine but get aquila/wand before, not after. You shouldn't get drums unless you're really far behind and can't afford battlefury.
Sleight and chain combo is easy, just put your target at the edge of your sleigh of fist aoe and cast chain immediately, can do 100% combo almost everytime.
