          In response to some of the more recent comments:

          We appreciate your interest in the study and understand your skepticism. However, we can assure you that this is very much a real psychology study at Cambridge University. All final year psychology undergraduates are required to complete a research dissertation on a topic of their choice. The reason you aren't able to find any record of it on the official Cambridge page is because there are thousands of studies taking place at the University so only really notable research (usually done by grads and post-docs, as you mentioned) is publicised.

          Thanks for your interest in the study and for your keen observations regarding the legitimacy of our research. We indeed have no interest in spamming or scamming anyone. The data we're collecting is only useful for the purposes of our study, as clearly outlined on the first page. We haven't asked for any information that can be used to identify you personally.

              Seems more likely to me that this 'Research' is aimed at gathering information for advertising.
              This fits more into the Market Research category than it does Psychology.
