the answer is keep playing...
u can calibrate high enough with supports too... Hero damage thing is not that important anymore like it used to be
i see u do fine so far supporting why not keep playing and see how it goes? why care so much about calibrate? u can get high mmr if u play good and with a bit of luck.

Hero damage isn't as important as it used to be, needforcs. While there are many variables in the algorithm. What matters most in the end is did you win or lose. If you keep supporting well and winning the games then that's what matters. If you keep winning it will most certainly keep you in the VHS bracket.
Well the problem is when you see a weaver with brown boots and and just a perseverance on minute 20 ish you go sigh. An invoker with first item octarine when there is a slark in game. Sigh. Invoker, od lane and then sigh.. You know its a bit making me a tired person :D
Edit: Ayyy lmao last game was rated very high skill. This shit is killing me :D
I've noticed that a lot of support players actually calibrated lower than than their implicit mmr which resulted in a fast climb after the calibration phase. Regardless a high WR will give you a really high hidden mmr pre calibration.
I had 60% winrate, played all kinds of heroes, always VHS bracket... calibrated at 4000. I have no idea how calibration system works
Consider that perseverance could be a linkens if you're stomping hard enough as a support. Supports basically run the game even into the late game at times. You can calibrate and climb after into 5K if you play the right supports.
Consider that you have to play the meta if you wanna be a good support, play the supports that counter the heroes you run into each meta. Troll meta = Oracle, BS meta = KOTL/Wyvern, etc etc.

Hello,
I recently wanted to convert myself to a support player therefore i started smurfing. My original rank is 4700. But i got bored of the endless struggle of people fighting over mid and carry positions. Solution was simple for me, be a good support and have fun from dota 2. I noticed something though: Before i achieved rank 4700, i smurfed a bunch of times and never fallen from very high skill bracket. My last smurf was a year ago though. Now i see myself drifting between high and very high skill bracket. I was playing okey a year ago on my last smurf and got calibrated 4200 ish. So is it ultra hard for supports to be calibrated good?
Thank you for reading i know its a bit of a long topic :P.
