Anyone else getting 2 sec lag spikes every 10 min? in General Discussion
Mandalorian

I've never had that before, but since few updates ago it became regular on both my PC and laptop. My internet is ok (35/20mb), so i wonder if anyone else has that same issue? Game just freezes for around 2 sec, where i cant move or do anything (net_graph shows 500ms or sth) and then it stars working again normally.

I verified the integrity of the game, so i have no clue what the problem could be. My internet quality in Dota is set to low.

    Look at me, Hector.

internet quality set to low is meant for people who still use dial up fyi

Or people who are so fat that they sit on their steel PC's because they broke countrless chairs. Looks like Fat wave broke a lot of chairs in his lifetime.

Go on a diet you fat fuck.

call your isp and tell them to turn off interleaving

or maybe call the local fitness center so fat wave can try and break some machines.

I have interleaving off, so that is not the case. It just started doing that shit after few updates back, idk what changed in valve servers, but it's affecting a lot of players judged by the topics i've read about the same issue they're having.

Ok, i think i found the solution. For everyone that have same problems as me, check this out.

I did the above with webhelper, didn't make a difference so I turned it back on. The only major solution with settings that I found was turning off V-Sync, and some of the extra video settings.

I'm not super knowledgeable about cookies or cache but I can tell you that if I run Steam for a longer period of time, I will get crazy ping with Dota. I also get ping everytime there's an update to Steam or Dota and I was already searching for a match. Once I restart both and give it about 5 minutes, it's fine.

Something I have started doing recently is checking ping before searching for matches. If you click on the region portion of your matchmaking overlay, then on the right side you can hit refresh to see what your current ping is.

You can look forward to when Reborn is ready too

Dude, i know all of that lol. It's some weird shit that started happening lately, after some Dota updates, i didnt change anything else. That thing with steamwebhelper actually helped me a lot and it's way better now.
