Question about Undying Hero Damage Stats in General Discussion
Quine

When I finished playing a game with Undying I noticed that the hero damage was pretty low compared to my team mates. That might of course be the case but I felt I was participating in teamfights with some decent tombstones etc.

It makes me wonder if the damage made by the tombstone zombies is counted towards the Hero Damage-stat that is shown when the game is finished.

    Does anyone know?

In my opinion this should definitely count towards the hero damage made by Undying.

It does but understand that while undying has massive amounts of involvement he will still have extremely low hero damage in the same way that a tide/magnus might have lower hero damage then the rest of the team due to being used defensively as an initiator.

For example, me and tonks stomped our lane so fucking hard and were in every fight giving 100% but my hero damage still remains pretty low. http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1540588740

......but it is a good point that zombies might not count towards hero damage.

An easy way to see if zombies contribute to hero damage would be to check the console as soon as you destroy the ancient.

It shows every heroes' damage per skill, along with the total time you stunned and slowed enemy heroes.

Anyone with access to the client who can check? I'm not able to until Monday

So I just played a bot game with passive bots using nothing but tombstone to harm them, i.e. no other means of damage (no right click, decay or soulrip etc). In the end Undying had dealt ~11k dmg. It was registered as something like "damage of other type".

So it actually did count to the total.

          Thanks for your comments.

Also note that decay may give you very low Hd cause the strenght steal probably doesn't count, and the dmg itself is very low (20/60/100/140). In case you are spamming decay when laning, it contributes most in terms of real damage but might be not counted as nominal damage, as already said.

Dude if zombies didn't count undying would have like 5k hero dmg a game cus the strength steal is not dmg, his nuke does low dmg otherwise, you usually use his heal for healing not nuking (and it's a long cd) and his ult increases other heroes dmg, not undyings. So he's basically a really poor right clicker for dmg stats.

Zombies count as damage. So does every other player owned character.
