I originally thought that it was because some people were having off days that they were playing like absolute shit, but then after calling some people out, it turns out some of them are actually 2k-3k players who bought their 4-4.8k account.
Why someone would buy a 4k account...I will never understand, but yeah it's pretty game ruining. I had a viper lose mid horribly against a TA and an axe who got a 15min free farm jungle blink. It's pretty obvious some times that these are not actual 4k players
i agree, i had lots of those trashes in my teams last 2-3 days. Of course you get a bad or casual player here and there, but this was full on retardness EVERY single game. I hope it will get better during the week, or i might calibrate at 1k due to all the loses in calibrational matches.

you work so far on your smurf till ranking and you lose them all and blame.
if you dont throw and still try to contribute, even losing all your calibrations, your mmr will still be close to your initial hidden mmr during first match.

Drow is acc buyer, i'm 99%. Private profile, matchmaking history disabled, worthless kda and pretty much 0 farm. I'm getting shitheads like that quite often, god i really want Valve would make an option to ban one player every day or every few days, so you never get them in matchmaking again. It's still tons of idiots out there, but it would make a matchmaking slighty better experience knowing at least you cant meet a few of them.
I think maybe these account buyers bought 5k accounts and now we are just catching them on the way down T_T
you cant maintain a 70% wr over a high number of games... eventually you'll be vsing ppl around the same skill level overall
mmr isnt an end-all-be-all stat, so if you see a shitty voker at 4.5k mmr, he's probably better at playin easier heroes
or like that 3.9k mmr meepo might play other heroes he's bad at more often but he might still play a better-than-average meepo.
After you hit ur bracket you'll just tend to notice the differences between 500 mmr i.e. 3500/4000 or 4500/5000

Worst thing to happen to you is to play dota during the weekends. Its fucking horrible tbh and the difference in the quality of games is fucking significant

Last game Invoker (PA mid had 9 min basher boots, our invoker brown boots and talisman) , game before that useless whole team except Shaker. I dont get how people at this rating (i'm hoping to get around 5k, but so far all the games solo and party were around that rating) are THAT FUCKIN BAD. First i started playing on this acc i was maintaining above 70% winrate for more then 100 games, meeting only people above 5k all the time, games were fun and wining was ez. Then i dropped some in winrate due to lots of shitty teammates and also some of my bad games, but OVERALL.
4.5k is so damn bad and stupid, i dont get how can be people losing their lanes so hard which makes games practically unwinable. Possibly worst and most stressfull skill bracket and i'm not even talking about people's stupid attitude.
