Stacking decreases difficulty which in turn lowers your division. It is my understanding that anything outside of a solo game is penalized with a stacking or division decrease penalty which will hurt your division but not your overall hero score *sit

i was thinking the same until got my division increased after few games in 5ppl party\ plus u r wrong with overall hero score (coze formula includes division ratio)

Hero score depends on performance in game, so it may effect it but not by much. In all honesty the hero ratings are better off ignored cause the formula has been reworked multiple times and it still is a little bit hit and miss but works for the most part.

You will notice a shift in your division almost instantaneously after a solo queue game or two but with an excessive amount of games I do also know the system does discredit you a little bit on those grounds (some footnote mentioned this from one of the developers)
