How is Axe remotely broken? You can't just pick what the hell you want vs a good axe player you have to pick heroes that will excel vs him.
Viper, PA (yes, PA is good), Meepo, jakiro, troll, even TA is good to some extent. The thing is a lot of Axe's strength comes from the players he's with. Axe can help hold people in place but without and Aghanims its actually quite hard to finish a solo opponent off unless you have called him with 2 creep waves. Very rarely will you get a kill only off helix in mid game.
Early game is where Axe thrives so you basically have to dodge him till about level 5-7 where he is the most dangerous. I hate changing my builds for certain heroes but even I won't pick axe every game as sometimes even with farm you will still lose the game.
In that game you played that Axe was retarded and in his same position I would have gone for a force or Euls to take out wisp or to force out of the tombstone etc.
don't fall for his trap havoc, you'll just get infected by his zombie-down-syndrome diease
axe was complete garbage for a year+, and he's really strong right now against specific lineups(fuck you slark). Axe finally has a place and Allison wants to put him back on the bench
