You should never give up on games before they've started ever. Imo you should only give up when the game is out of hand. Hero comps work differently depending on the skill of the players. The worse the players, the more hero picks don't matter.
I thought this game was gonna be harder than it ended up being. Lion fed first blood and left me alone top against 2 ranged heroes so I was barely getting any farm and our OD wasn't doing very well mid. But they gave me like 3 or 4 minutes of freefarm and that was all I needed.
Why mel? Your draft is strong, strong push team, 3 frickin heals, lots of disable. Only way you lose is if it goes late cus they out carry you then, but their lanes aren't that strong.
Now here's a game you look at the draft anf go fuuuuuuuuk. All melee, last pick was Es for support which is usually fine but retarded on this team cus he's a 5 spot so farming blink will be rough and he's probably a retard and going to block us all with fissure. Yet we won cus slark and spirit breaker just dive bombed the other team relentlessly. Also ES in my top lane as support kept trying to out last hit me then went afk for several minutes several times lol. Thought we were screwed for sure.

i'm playing the safelane carry, huskar repeatedly feeds since he wants to play sniper not huskar (poor guy)
so we play 4 v 5 literally from minute 0 and we win.
very co-operative team.
i dont think i made THAT bad of a draft in this game.
Jungle medusa with dual safelane Luna + 1. 3 deaths in the first few minutes and we still won
Nope, game was over, I didn't really have to do anything. Just farming and pushing in case it went later. I don't really get what's so stramge about those items anyway, I typically go one form of lifesteal on sven (dominator, vlads, mom) and one form of IAS (mom, mjollnir, ac) anyway.
Either MoM or Dominator should be your choice for lifesteal for sure. MoM for the IAS, or Dominator for stacking ancients and eventually building into Satanic. Vlads doesn't really give you much unless you want to get some other Orb. Although I'm not sure what other Orb you'd be getting on Sven. I guess maybe Skadi for the str and anti-kiting.
Yeah I can't think of an orb either, but I often switch dom for vlads if we have more than 1 other melee right clicker. The mana regen on sven is quite good as well.
