Having been jogged in circles by BT and not having internet drove me to buying a new PC. Decided to post some shots from the work I did last night.

Here is what I already had:

    Bitfenix Prodigy ITX Case
    Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI Intel Z77 (ITX)
    16GB Kingston HyperX Blu. (2x8GB)
    Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz
    2x 2TB Seagate Storage

    Here is what I purchased.

    Gainward GeForce GTX 780 Phantom
    OCZ 750W ModXStream PSU
2x Seagte 480GB SSD (Bought them from eBuyer on sale)
    1x 230mm Bitfenix Fan (White)
    2x 120mm Bitfenix Fan (Black)

Here is what was left over from my previous PC.

    1x 60GB Kingston SSD
    500W OCZ PSU
    EVGA GTX770

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After cleaning the case and hollowing it out I started with the big fan...

    Another shot..

Had some issues getting the case to close and realized there was actually a very specific way this had to go in so it ended up being a total hassle but managed to get it in the end.

    Adding the top two..

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installing the SSD's into the side panel of the case. The Bitfenix is really well designed for such a small unit and can actually hold a lot.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Putting the motherboard together. In retrospect should have probably bought a Hydro or something cause the stock Intel coolers look like ass but still keep everything chilled so maybe that is something for another paycheck.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some electrical work and velcro to add the fan extenstion, quite handy if you want to keep everything tidy and don't want cables running over fans and heatsinks.

Installed motherboard, fans and storage drives.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to install this huge thing...

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did about an hours worth of modding and cable tidying and the results were.. pretty good.

Put it all together and plug it in and voila

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My new place is great but no internet and still waiting for furniture like bookshelves and stuff so the house has boxes and stuff all over. Need to also get that picture up.

Took a break with some Adventure Time and decided to do some perler bead shit from half-life. Enjoy.

Hopefully BT get their shit together and I can get back online shortly.

I have re-bought the MX518 for like 6 years now. Best mouse EU. 3 bedroom house and only use 2 so turned the 3rd into a gaming room which for obvious reasons (it's mine) I keep it clean.

Nice System, but why keep the boxed? Also the case seems a bit "small". With the Bitfenix fans it still should be cool and quite, but I wonder why you have not chosen a bigger case. For 30 euro more you could get this one: http://www.amazon.de/NANOXIA-Silence-schwarz-Gehaeuse-Tower/dp/B008J1I0I6. Rly recommend it. Its quite, has the option to mount a 200 MM fan on top.

For a Mouse I recommend the Logitech G 600! The 12 keys seem a little odd. I wanted to sent it back after 1 week, but now im used to it and its great! Every itemslot is just bound to mouse. Also its nice for bigger hands.

hate that case. Reminds me of those cheap imac imations back in the early 2000s. For a 780 u need a decent FULL tower case like 750D or 900D or anything of those cosmos looking big rigs. ITX boards just means 0 upgradbility, not to mention Intel where every chip upgrade means new cpu & mobo.

              SalaciousCrome

                Boxed?

It is an ITX system which is meant to be small due to the large monitor I have I prefer ITX/m-ATX cases.

I only buy silverstone and bitfenix cases, I don't like flashy shit I am into the brushed metal cases.

The case i mentioned is not flashy at all. It is designed for quite pc's and on the same time its really cool.

http://www.nanoxia-world.com/product/1/1/Deep+Silence+1. Its brushed metal, has some ok cableplacment, its isolated to be quite, delivered with nice fans, 2 fan controls etc.

if you prefer itx this case is nothing for you. Since i have the case under the table its no problem at all for me. With boxed i meant the standard cpu fan.

I was forced by circumstance at work to use excel and wanted to learn VBA. (VBA2EZ) The Java one I have had for years but hate throwing away books and lacking a shelf at the moment I have them stacked around me.

I really want like a wall shelf but it can be quite costly to get a carpenter to build one here in the UK.

                              Example.

The last big case I had was the TJ09 which was back when I though you had to overclock and overcool everything. Now I couldn't give two shits about any of that. Though I was considering something like http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/corsair_hydro_series_h75_review,1.html for my CPU but maybe at a later date.

                                TJ09 Silverstone.

Reading, Work experience (you can learn a lot just by listening), University, Microsoft Certification etc.

Seriously tryout https://www.coursera.org/ I learnt python and assembly from that site also http://www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com/ for all the microsoft stuff.

Want to learn the basics of how websites and webapps are done start with something small like http://www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com/training-courses/html5-css3-fundamentals-development-for-absolute-beginners#?fbid=03YAuuFShp7

The python course https://www.coursera.org/course/interactivepython super easy to follow and learn from and they chase you for results like a really university so it really gives you the push you need to finish the course.

I'm not so much into overclocking and stuff. I just want a quite and "cool" pc. Cool, because back in times some parts of my old system died before they should. Quite, because I have to work on my pc, and loud stuff is just annoying. I'm no fan of slim watercooling systems. They are noisier than normal fans and do not offer a better coolingperformance. But your atx case is maybe too small for a big cpu fan.

The only game I play is Dota 2, so no need for buying new hardware every year.

I like how the cables are properly setup in that case, what similar one would you suggest if for a much bigger tower?
i dont mind spending as long as is well made.
Personally i dont need any liquid cooling, but just proper composition for cables etc.

                                              Wish i had money.

@Yoshi Assuming ATX motherboard I would look into a midi case as they are smaller than E-ATx or XL-ATX but still hold all the same stuff.

                                                Some options.

                                                Weird but nice http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-143-CS&groupid=2362&catid=1489

Bitfenix make among the best designed (layout) PC cases I have seen along with Silverstone. Antec are a cheaper option that make above average cases.

Should've gone for something like Gigabyte or Sapphire on the graphics card tbh. Either than that, nice build c:

                                                  whoji

really nice build. never knew that mini itx build can also be a performance machine, instead of HTPC. XD .

                                                    SalaciousCrome

If I had a choice of a graphics card maker it would always hands down be MSI or Zotac.

MSI's Frozn Coolers are simply the bomb, and Zotac stock OC their cards so they are always just that little bit better than the competition.

Sapphire make ATI cards which I would never touch now. Shame, I was such an ATI fan boy till just after the x1800 series then from there they were just shit. Same with AMD which is no surprise cause they bought ATI out and just brought them out.

                                                      Legendary cards:

ATI - Good till about 2008
                                                      9700 Pro
                                                      x800xt
                                                      x1800xt

Nvidia - Good from 2008 on

8800 series (what a winning series, totally blew ATI out of the water and they have never been able to quite catch up)
                                                      GTX280
                                                      GTX570

Sadly, most of the cards from both companies show little improvement on performance even when changing a whole series. Mostly just a lower nano version of previous series with some dual GPU card that cost way more money than given performance.

                                                      Gustaphos

Nice small ATX form factor case, very condensed with plenty of airflow.

Agreed on the ATI VS Nvidia cards. Best one is the EVGA Nvidia mfg. Some additional cost, but a lifetime warranty is worth it if your card goes out. I even overclocked my old 3x 275 GTX's when I used to play BF3 and didn't even flinch at replacing one of them. Heat related issue on the ram board, and I didn't have a pipe of liquid coolant going to the ram on my video cards. Didn't overclock after that and my 2x gtx 580's do fine.... Not that a nvidia 9800 1x wouldn't run this game lol.

                                                        SalaciousCrome

Even with all the Dota2 still managed to squeeze 500+ hours into BF3 http://bf3stats.com/stats_pc/Samb0b

Bad Company and BF4 are more my game now.

                                                          Yoshi

thanks for the imput havoc, ill check them right away :)

                                                            Nope

Personally, my graphics card have to be Gigabyte. On the high end cards (ie. 680/780, 7950/R9 280X) they stick 3 fans on it. Gotta love the cooling from that. This is my first AMD Graphics card as I decided to buy it in the advent of Mantle; with mantle enable games, a mid end AMD card could get the same FPS as a high end Nvidia.
