Only thing that are more annoying than Viper in mid is pretty much OD Huskar and TA. They all do kinda the same thing.
Except that OD is not right click hero. it is press button + left click then right click hero

And Viper has an orb which if you don't autocast needs you to press key and left click hero.

^ The correct skill build is the one that works, as far as I know, and Viper ended the game 19/4/15 and with the victory, so what is your point?
Against a viper mid using sf? Just sit back wait for level 3 and harrass him out your lane with razes. Remember viper is also a squishy hero so your razes should do the job. o.o You can even kill him if you have good rune control or he overextends and you hit all 3 razes.
Maybe he just tried his best to get the last hit on creeps thanks to minus armor. It's stupid anyway though.
Razes all the way for laning as SF against viper.
yesterday i tried to lane as razor against SF, wanting to do an experiment to see how it would hold up.
i'm not a very good mid player in general but those shadowrazes insure that you must stay at a distance from sf, i would imagine that includes viper as well.

That's the thing with Viper. Even though he can't snowball as hard (or at all in some cases) as most common mid snowballing heroes, he's stupidly good against most of them...I don't play SF, but really. Every time I've seen a Razeless SF playing, it ended up with his team losing horribly.
Viper also destroys Centaur in the laning phase if he picks up his passive, he just can't do shit, every time you attack him it triggers the toxic skin on him.

That was a bugged build as you can tell by the lvl 3 ulti? haha.
i went 1 necro. lvl 3 (2 raise) and max raise first build. Like you should on any SF.
Normally i wouldnt skill ulti, at 6 but i was getting dived under tower and with no where to run (just as i level'd up) i skilled ulti instead of lvl 3 necromastery in hope that i'd get a return kill when i died.
but yeah viper is a cunty hero.
Even with Razes, a Viper with toxic skin still stomps you, as you take 40 damage everytime it connects with him, and because of your ms slow he can easily get an auto attack in which again. Pumps your asshole.
I actually had this issue as Puck, since Viper out-ranged me, I couldn't do anything until I had a few levels- so I had to gank a little and a roaming Rubick had to help me out until I was stronger. We did end up getting two kills on the Viper.
And still you lost the game. Just like my last mirana game too. Viper is strong but you can counter her.
I wish to raze a point with my local MP. There appears to be some local bandits raising the farmers land. Words must be had. Taxes should be razed to pay for the damage.
hard to think how a decent SF could ever beat a decent viper? the passive buff of triggering every time u dmg him is really annoying when trying to raze harass and if hes zoning u most likely he'd hit lvl 6 first and ur ass is his for some fun

So I just went SF vs a random'd viper.
basically you shouldn't even attempt to go to lane vs that guy with any rightclick hero.
Viper picks his toxic skin lvl 1. and stood on my hill. he has 60 somewhat damage and i have 40. trading hits only gets me 40 poision tick damage and slow'd for each hit. he can basically put you out of xp range at lvl 1.
what a cunt.
