Valve should change rating system? in General Discussion

Ok, so I know I'm only a regular dota player. Nothing extraordinary, only 51.5+% win rate, 1000+ games, Level 79 profile. etc.. But I'm appauled that 'new players' can choose experienced and play platinum+ games... if they are above 55% win rate they get to play very high games almost all the time. Take poster, Rape for example, under 200 games, 57% win rate... playing 'high' constantly. Here's his profile, he started a month ago. Using Dota watch filter, He has 148 high level games and 7 very high.

Alot of my friends who do play very high or high all the time worked for it. but they are around 50% win rate with 500+ games.

I have a couple invites, and I could easily just make a few accounts and smurf too get up in very high all the time too. But I feel like for the competive players with 1000+ games they are just 'shitting' on us and giving us the shaft? I was honestly hoping that if I pass the 500+ game mark they would only queue me up with 200+ players, with approximately same ratings, but it's not the case. I'm constantly getting queue with like players with 50+ games and sub 50% win rate players.

    Anybody feel me here?

    Vaikiss`742.

so i made alt acc for the lulz together with couple friends of mine becouse they were in low priority with main accounts and we tryed smurfing around

teamed up with couple players who got over 1000 wins each (and 2 of us with 0 wins each) ever since game 1 we were at every high matchmaking

even later on when we went solo que or que with friends who play at normal "Skill level" we were still in very high

Well valve is forcing people to make new accounts once their win ratio drops below 55%. Imagine 10,000 accounts created a month from noobs dropping out of platinum league.

            BenaoLifedancer

So you need 55% to go very high?

              pATCHES

Win like 7 in a row to make very high to be honest. or just abuse the system, when i solo q i get very high, when i party with one of my mates very high, rest are all low skilled players so it's w/e the others are.

                Stock(TME)

Thats totaly not right, i have 50.9% win rate, and i get top 10 pages constantly, which is above average of very high.

Win rate is not most important factor obviously.
For example if you constantly lets say play on very top of very high games, and you win 1 lose 1 constantly, your ratio goes down towards 50%. Does that make you not very high player ? :;D

                  pATCHES

i meant getting into very high to begin with rather then abusing the smurf glitches .-. sorry for not wording it right.

                    Inuyaki

No, I got into very high with less than 53%...

I got 58 wins out of the last 100 games, maybe that helped :)
Just work your way up there, its safer too, I think.
If you make a new account and smurf your way in there, you can fall out very quickly too, when you have a weak weekend (I assume).

                      MattieShoes

You guys are retarded. Win percentage does not matter. Making a second account does not matter. If you consistently play well enough to be in "very high", then that's what you'll be playing. If you don't, you'll be playing at a lower level. Stop trying to excuse your own lackluster play by blaming a rating system.

                        Weeb

                          +1 to mattieshoes,
i made a smurf account, http://dotabuff.com/players/120711968 , so that i can play with my retarded friends without having the fear to lose every single game, and i chose the "new player" and i got almost 25 games, 2 are very high, which arent with my retarded friends, 5-8 r high, which r most of the time solo, and rest r all normal, which r all with my friends..
ur idea is wrong, if u have chosen ur self as an experienced player, u would get into very high MMR faster, but would eventually do, it must be that u get qued against/with noobs, so ur MMR doesnt increase that much..
this profile which i am commenting from, got all its games as very high, unless, again, if i am playing with my retarded friends, some r gd though (1 or 2 out of 20)
