If you changed your setting to private after we gathered the data for a match, your participation in that match wasn't public and we don't have it in the database.
We're working on a workaround for this, stay tuned. In the mean time, your new matches should appear as normal.
I turned my settings on as soon as it was introduced, still haven't gotten any updates since then.
Turned public sharing thingie on 2 matches ago, neither of them are on dotabuff... Think this is the same problem as OP.
i turned match sharing on and games are on dotabuff as they should!
but i wonder if u can also get the games we played before turning on the match sharing cause if not i will loose some rly good stats :/
I turned my sharing option to on immediately after the patch dropped and dotabuff still recognizes it as off..
Well your matches tab shows the matches you played 4 days ago, but your overview doesn't.
The matches you played after that seem to be private lobbies for which the WebAPI doesn't provide match info
Same as above, luckily for me when the Dota 2 update came, I instantly turned on sharing in support of Dotabuff, so all my matches were recorded. I just wish it wasn't off by default. But glad to know that the site wont be down just yet. <3 you guys and your hard work!!
1. some times it will take a little while after the game has finished before it will show up in dotabuff (sometimes hours, reportedly).
2. I was wondering if the privacy feature is retroactive. So when I turn it off will all those games played in private become public or is it set in stone?
if u play with the opption on... or non sharing the match will not apear.. if u turn it off them the matchs that u will play in future will apear as usual.. i think thats it
Doesn't matter what your privacy setting is when you play the match. It only matters in the moment a third party asks Valve for the result of that match. DotaBuff on the other hand stores all results in their own database so it depends on them how they handle privacy setting changes on matches they already stored.
So if your turn your privacy setting off, a third party (i.e. DotaBuff) can get all your match results, regardless of the time they were played. Currently DotaBuff wont get the match result if they already have it in their database, so that is the reason why they will register only new matches after you take the privacy off.

"You need to take action in order for your recent matches to appear on Dotabuff."
