i have a computer than can run everything maxed, but i run a lot of other programs in the background and have everything set to low.
I prefer to see the game, and not fancy effect particles. I even have my video render set to 58% because I grew up playing games for the game, not fancy graphics.
You should find a sweet spot between performance and quality. You don't want the game to look like a potato but on the other end you don't want a game that's overly aesthetic that it overpowers your view of the battlefield or worse yet runs on low FPS/stutters.
Animate portrait on / anti aliasing on / texture and effects to high / shadows off / everything else urned off / 240 fps limit / 100% render
I just want 120+ fps all the time even when a Tinker vs PL is happening on my screen. In which at ultra drops to nearly 40 fps on my 1080.

Dota 2 video settings? Should I just set everything to high or should i turn off some settings?
