I think if LGD won, there would have been a much more interesting grand finals. Liquid got stomped the last 3 games really bad.
cause w33 is a trash tier mid player who cant play any other hero
as u can see, only game they had a chance against OG and won the game were the one they put miracle on mid
It is npt necessarily a bad approach, especially in bo5s. Having your own gameplan and sticking to it can be a good thing
w33 trash tear mid?? LOL guy carry Liqud to final. And at lest see his profile, you can it`s not hardhardhttps://www.dotabuff.com/esports/players/86700461-liquid-w33

Ta and tide are pretty strong picks, didn't you see how tide destroyed lgd? And they were probably relying on going late game for ta's 25 level ability
I want to know why monkey wasn't picked more against all the melee heroes. Tide, cent, tiny, ls, alch, kunka, dk, ogre, Et, omni, you get my point.
I particularly find monkey a weak hero, doesn't surprise me they decided on not relying on him
I guess they thought it's not a matter of heroes, just execution that was the problem
OG just playing and drafting super well though, I think no team would deny them the aegis this year
just watched game 2. They lost cause they didn't take the fight back. Miracle still went midas when it was obvious they wanted to force an early/mid game filled with fights. They thought they could survive through it and went lategame. They were wrong and lost.
If they had decided to fight back AND still go late where they could've won too (no need to afk and go lategame!) the game would've turned different. But I think it was a team decision to not fight, and they were just wrong. Shit happens :/ OG just understood the game better.
I think Liquid could've won with miracle drums instead of midas maybe even a vlads after it. They could've won if the enigma didnt go creep summon and midas and just gone for mek and an extra basilus (with vlads miracle ember) and if tide had gone an early drums force staff too or just bracer forcestaff. That way they wouldn't have needed to waste the ultis on shit, no kills or targets or even get some air to farm from it. Cause the way they played it they just used ultis and were still forced to spread and group/die and not STILL not get any farm from it, which is what you want.
welp, but its a team decision, OG just better than Liquid game 2, it wasn't a skill outplay but way to ddictate the game
edit: nothing to do with picks either
My Ancient 1 analysis is tidehunter has a minus armour skill and TA has a minus armour skill so their game plan was to kill enemy heroes through lowering their armour.
Welp, can't argue with that^
Game 3 Liquid lost it with the last pick jugg (I think it was jugg). They pcked it because they knew they had to fight early but jugg is no early fghting bitch so they obviously lost. Somehow they thought he was strong vs ench :D!! just cause of spin and shit, like wtf?? ahahahah
They should've gone something like bristleback or dk that game and also straight up just send TA top and give mid to tide instead. If anything, TA would have the jungler closer and if left 1v1 vs void he would've had no problem. In case they wanted to pressure TA you would've ended up freefarm with a strong safelaner (not weak like jugg) and possibly farmed tide.
4th and last game Liquid just fixed everything!! Great picks aside from last pick wr... I would've liked a crystal maiden core mid
Anyways, that diffusal pick up was brilliant xD But what made it possible was Topsons 2k hp build and the uselessness of wr throughout the game
Tide was one of the top heroes of the tournament... He will always get that Ravage off and that is a lot of team fight right there.
But I would agree, after losing 2 games with these heroes in a row, you'd think they would try something else... But I think those are the heroes that was what their players wanted to play and by no measure these are just bad heroes. Tide was a beast throughout the whole tournament.

From game 1 to game 3 Liquid pick TA and Tide 3 times in a row and basically throwing the game all the way to the last.
