When to go 2-4-0-1 on ember? in General Discussion

I have seen some ember players who go max fist and no skill point on flaming guard on early game.

Depend on the lane,if enemy can outdmg your shield or purge it maxing fist is the better choice. Also good harass against enemy range hero with it low mana cost and disjoint many projectile like qop dagger, dazzle weave or Sven stun.

      Ella Corazon

Oh i see. So maxing fist is better when facing with some heavy nuker like Lina or Zeus?

I remember a wise man many patches ago (known as me and like one other dude on here) say:

"they're gonna keep giving SoF small buffs until it's broken"

It's gotten small buffs the last like 4 patches.

          It's almost broken.

But i keep maxing flaming guard and searing chain against soft mid heroes and cant dispel the flame guard, is it right?

            TheRRogue

Maxing searing chain is not that good nowadays unless you were fighting vs wr or some Weaver. You normaly maxing either guard or fist first right now. If the enemy can't man fight you with your guard then yeah it fine to Max it first. But if you vs some troll mid or timber maxing fist is better.

Guys how can i Play aggressive against windranger? I lost to him really bad last game

                      kk

You should get flameguard lvl 1 then go sleight lvl 2, then go flameguard lvl 2 at 3 then max sleight, maybe get a point in chains early, but usually get it at lvl 8 then get lvl 3 in chains, then max flameguard.

Don't listen to the shitters that max flameguard, you use it to farm and push the creepwave, not to tank dmg (but it is nice).

lol nub flameguard lvl 4 is really good if you want to roam at sidelanes(which is almost always a must) and punishing your already punished enemy midlaner

                          kk

I used to think that too. It does depend on the matchup but I find that not getting hit by spells is better in the first place. Lvl 4 sleight allows you to dodge and tank a lot more spells than being able to tank one more spell (while being out of position)

Ember has Mana issues early and if you don't have full Mana you won't have enough to remnant on top of them and use your flameguard and sleight and chains. If you have to remnant out bc they respond you're dead due to no mana.

Sleight has been buffed lots and I find that keeping enemies at Bay with lvl 4 sleight and lvl 3 chains is better than yoloing in and possibly dying .

Maybe it's my playstyle, but I find I'm winning more with lvl 2 flameguard then max sleight and chains since I play the fog of war more and it seems like how ember was meant to be played (stay back and do dmg from fog)

Maxing flameguard isn't bad per-say, but i do better with the other one (also if you watch topson he goes lvl 2 flameguard then maxes sleight)

Max sleight. Wr can break through flame guard so easy but she has low hp so she can't stay in lane vs a 150 dmg spell on 6 seconds cooldown. Dodge her PowerShot and stun by using sleight on her

Practice your sleight of fist dodging

thank you, but i lost my recent ember games so sad, i went magic build and went late game with void no dmg, i cant put any high dmg to jugg, tide and pudge

yeah, probably i just love ramboing rather than sitting on 600-800 range of enemies, duration really helps when you trying to towerdive and you can dodge spells fromf ire remmant and just save skill 2 for dodges rather than for damage

i almost never rly got mana issue on this hero anymore though unless enemy got a diffusal

How dagger is good to ember? or just more escape?

                                    Player 281121816

obviously u should max 2nd 1st now because it deals 230++ damage now( with ur normal attk damge included) for only 50 manacost and max flame guard after that. Skip talent n 2nd upgrade ulti because that shit are useless thx

Spam SoF twice, then 3 remnant(with flame guard active) and voila, u just kill everyone

                                      kk

How dagger is good to ember? or just more escape?

Dagger is good on ember if you know how to play with it. Dagger makes you even more elusive and annoying. Can be used to catch tinkers, blink into tress and escape, and gives you a lot more 'outplayed' potential.

If it's lategame and you're defending base it's really great bc you can kill the creep waves before they get to the base and prevent enemies from pushing by using remnant and sleight of fist combo.

It's really good for snowballing and allows you to save remnants for escaping or finishing people off. I think you should learn to play him without dagger first and then incorporate it in once you know how to play him properly.

Blink in, chains, sleight, throw remnant out to escape (if needed) and then get ready to sleight of fist + searing chains combo them again in a few seconds.

You can shift queue it after sleight (I think) and you will be virtually impossible to catch if you play right
