I mean, SB is great for the hero in general because you can not only pick off the enemy but also set up for ganks. You usually don't want to get HotD/Necro first if you're in a DEAD lane(the enemy can't push it neither can you). Trihard Book 3 is also great for map pressure/creating space for your cores.
what the main aim for this hero:
It depends on the lineup. If you got a free lane you usually go for the necro build first in order to push and create space. If you don't have that space then build shadow blade and set up ganks/do pick offs ( Without overextending of course ).

you upgrade it to silver edge -> find enemy tide -> hit him with se and ult him -> your team kills tide and he can't ravage.
replace tide with any hero e.g. pa, spectre, brist, husk etc.
